Jewel is Dawn and Rich's second show dog.   Jewel is a once in a lifetime dog.   She has won a Best in Show, a Best in Specialty Show and Best of Opposite Sex at the 2003 AKC/Eukanuaba Invitational Dog Show.    She has won numerous Best of Breeds as well as many group placements.   Jewel was retired in 2008 at the Irish Setter National Specialty after winning her class in Veteran Sweepstakes as well as her Veteran class. 

For fun, Jewel has been on several commericals that aired on Animal Planet and National TV.   She was in a dog reality show that aired on Fox TV called "America's Top Dog."    Jewel was a certified therapy dog for years visiting nursing homes, hospitals and most frequently, elementary schools.     Jewel has been one of Dawn's main models for Dawn's artwork.
